starting off

this is my new blog. mostly, i think it will be about my music or music in general, but i'm going to try and avoid the mundane details of my life. i hate reading that kind of crap, so i refuse to add more of it to the blogosphere.

i also have a pretty heavy interest in politics and urban policy, as you may notice from some of the links on the right. i don't know a tremendous amount about these things (my college background is in journalism, work experice is in business communication), but they do interest me.

so, that's what i'm expecting. all comments, as long as they are rational and civil, are welcome. signing your name is appreciated, by the way.
